Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Dear Parents, Guardians and Members,

Beaumaris Sharks will continue to update you on the impact of COVID-19 on the domestic basketball competition through the website and via email.  If you are not receiving club emails please contact the club at administration@sharksbasketballclub.org.au with your details.  Thanks.

UPDATE on 25th May 2021

The Victoria State Government have announced that as of 6pm today all people over the age of 12 must wear a musk indoors at all public venues. 
 Spectators must wear masks upon entering all Sharks training and SBA/game venues.  Masks must be worn throughout the duration of the training or game and when exiting the stadium.
 This includes all coaches and team officials during a game or training. 

Players over 12 years of age must wear masks into the stadium until they start their warmup and then after their training or game.

Masks must be covering mouth and nose at all times.

Adults, also ensure that you check in to the game or training venue.

UPDATE on 8th July 2020

The Spring Domestic Season 2020 is currently on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions in force, with a commencement date unknown at this stage.  

The Sharks are in close communication with the Southern Basketball Association who are working with and following directives from Basketball Victoria and Government with regard to basketball competitions and training. 

If you have registered for the Spring Season 2020, all club registration fees are currently held by the club.  

For players not intending to participate in Spring Season who have registered and paid please contact Kathy at treassharks@gmail.com with regard to a refund. 

If you are experiencing financial hardship at this time we will also consider your request for a refund.

The Sharks are here to support our players and their families through this difficult time. We will continue to communicate with you via club emails, and will let you know as soon as we hear any important news. The SBA are also posting regular updates on their website, which can be found at www.southernbasketball.com.au.

Stay safe, follow good hygiene and social distancing, check in with each other and stay hopeful we will be back on the courts some time this year. Please share the above information with your team mates.
